My name is Haowen Guan; mandarin written as 关皓文. I am from Shenzhen, China.

I am a 2nd year master in Data Science at New York University, and I am expect to graduate in May 2023. I held a bachelor's degree from the University of Washington - Seattle double major in Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics: DS & Stats. My career goal is to become a Software Development Engineer, a Machine Learning Engineer, and a Physicist (in a near future).

I like coding, and algorithms are fun, so I am trying to start a coding career. Moreover, the world is exploding in information that data and computation resources increase exponentially every year. It is easy to foresee the importance of the skill of mastering the data and digital devices in this era, that is why I am working toward Data Science. It feel great to have the ability of holding data in my hand, feed them to deep learning models, and raise some genius neural network using the most powerful machines in human civilization. This is how much I love data science.

Outside of work, I am a science enthusiast, particularly in Physics and Astronomy. I love physics in a way that I took it as the shortest path to approach the truth of the world. I also like bodybuilding, and I have trained for over 1 year. I traded cryptocurrency for quite a while before and made some profit from it. However, I do not consider making a living with it. It's just fun to do some brainstorming against the market during leisure time.
